Award-winning natural light photographer specializing in high school senior, family and branding photography in the south Charlotte area.
When you book your session, you will pay a sitting fee upfront which serves as a retainer to hold and confirm your booking. This sitting fee pays for the time, skill, creativity and energy I will put into shooting your session. The sitting fee does not include any digital images or photo products.
After we have shot your session, you can decide which package you would like to purchase and pay when you make your selections. Packages start at $175 depending on how many digital images you want. Some packages come with prints and a photo album. Or you can purchase items ala carte.
Where will my session take place?
I shoot at various locations all around Weddington, Matthews, Waxhaw, Wesley Chapel, Indian Trail, Indian Land, Ft. Mill, Monroe and Marvin. I can also shoot outside of the south Charlotte area for a small travel fee.
Once you book please send me an email at KarenDunnPhoto@aol.com so we can determine where we will do your session.
What location can I have?
That is entirely up to you! I shoot in wild fields, mowed grass fields, athletic fields, forests, parks, greenways, flower fields (when available) and downtown Matthews, Monroe and Waxhaw. You can pick multiple locations for your session (within a short distance from each other) so you can mix up urban and natural. Your session can include coffee shops, book stores, a greenhouse, or a vintage vinyl record store. Tell me what look you like, and I will suggest locations. With additional location fees, I can also shoot at carnivals, fairs, an abandoned graffiti house and botanical gardens. I can even shoot in downtown Charlotte with a small travel fee.
I want a sunset session!
Sunset sessions are lovely and one of my specialties! Before you book, check on a weather app or website what time the sun is setting on the day you are booking. Select the time spot two hours prior.
Do I get the unedited images?
Unfortunately, no. As a professional photographer, I follow the practices of the Professional Photographers Association. A professional photographer should never give out unfinished and unedited images. We are providing our clients with the best of our work which is fully edited. You would not go to a restaurant and expect them to bring you uncooked food!
What should I wear?
Again, that is entirely up to you! Once you book, I will send you a style guide that has recommendations for senior session wardrobes. You can wear up to four outfits during your session. Bring all your options with you and we will spend some time at the beginning of your session picking out what might look best with each location you've selected.
